2. In the NR393 Announcements, locate the announcement entitled, “IMPORTANT: Assigned Topics for Week 4 Assignment.” In this announcement, you will find:
   1. The assigned past historical event you will use for this assignment.
   2. The link to a valid scholarly source for the past historical event.
   3. The assigned corresponding recent historical event.
3. Locate one outside scholarly source related to the recent historical event.
4. Use the information from the provided link and the scholarly source you locate to complete the Repeating History PowerPoint template. Do not add graphics or change font styles or sizes. Follow the template as it has been provided.
5. Correctly cite and reference ideas and information from scholarly literature. Due to the historical nature of this assignment, scholarly sources may be published outside the typical 5-year window.
6. Follow grammar, spelling, word usage, and punctuation rules consistent with formal, scholarly writing.
7. Abide by Chamberlain University’s academic integrity policy.

   4. Each description or explanation should be at least 2-3 sentences long, displaying adequate depth of reflection and response quality.
3. Comparison and Contrast
   1. Identify at least one way the recent historical event mirrors or repeats the past historical event.
   2. Describe one similarity between nurses’ roles or responsibilities during the past historical event and nurses’ roles or responsibilities during the recent historical event.
   3. Describe one difference between nurses’ roles or responsibilities during the past historical event and nurses’ roles or responsibilities during the recent historical event.
   4. Each description or explanation should be at least 2-3 sentences long, displaying adequate depth of reflection and response quality.
4. Nursing Past, Present, and Future
   1. Describe how the past and recent historical events positively shaped the nursing profession.
   2. Related to the past and recent historical events, identify at least two lessons learned from history that the nursing profession should not repeat in the future. Include a rationale for your answer.
   3. Related to the past and recent historical events, identify at least two lessons learned from history that the nursing profession should repeat in the future. Include a rationale for your answer.
   4. Each description or explanation should be at least 2-3 sentences long, displaying adequate depth of reflection and response quality.
5. APA Citations and References for Scholarly Sources
   1. Include a complete APA reference for the scholarly source related to the past historical event.
   2. Include a complete APA reference for the scholarly source related to the recent historical event.
   3. Include in-text citations on slides when appropriate.
   4. Use proper APA style standards to format citations and references with minimal errors.
