SOLUTION

Throughout the week 2 lesson on academic integrity, the nursing profession is discussed as being one of honesty and trust. The article titled “Nurse of the Future: Nursing Core Competencies” discussed the professional standards that the nurse of the future should possess. Some of these competencies include evidence-based practice, systems-based practice, patient centered care and teamwork and collaboration. All of these competencies require nurses to educate themselves through research in order to develop the professional standards set forth by the individual state’s boards of nursing. If academic integrity did not exist, where would one find the research to put forth such professional standards? Nursing must be held in the highest of standards, and nursing education should be no different. Holding oneself to high academic integrity through school will promote the high professional integrity needed throughout one’s nursing career.

Students who falsify their work, despite knowledge of the pending infractions, may do so for lack of time, lack of motivation, lack of knowledge or simply believing that the assignment is meaningless to one’s education. …please click the purchase button below to access the entire solution at $5
