SOLUTION  

After further review of the different NP practice models, the multidisciplinary practice is what I see the most in long term care. The medical director and his NP round in our facility 3 times a week. They always ask the nurse about the patient before going to see and assess the patient. They respond fairly quickly to phone messages or faxes in regard to patient care in the facility. Everyone shares a special part in the patient’s everyday care.
