They are motivated by a strong sense of purpose (Ghasabeh and Provitera, 2017). They want to establish a climate of respect and positive working relationships throughout the company.
Summarize your general beliefs of what makes a good leader.
A good leader is capable of taking calculated risks and making difficult decisions. Good leaders follow their gut impulses and make well-informed judgments based on the information obtained by their team. Their teams are constantly there for them, supporting them in whatever decision they make. Even if they have the power to do so, transformational leaders do not do everything independently (American Nurses Association, 2015). Instead, they solicit feedback from team members and take calculated risks to improve individual, team, and organizational growth. Transformational leaders are not afraid to make challenging and sometimes dangerous decisions. They make these judgments based on a clear vision, values, and end-goal emphasis. Transformational leaders inspire others, share corporate consciousness, and are open to new ideas (Ghasabeh and Provitera, 2017).
