Yes, social insurance programs are effective. Social insurance is a set of government run insurance schemes like in the United States, social security services provide Old age people, Survivors, Disability Insurance, Medicare and unemployment compensation. Social insurance programs do provide benefits to individuals who have paid into the program and whose employers have paid into the program on their behalf as they are often in the form of payroll taxes (Greenberg, 2018).
