Melissa is 23-year-old women who about three years ago suffered a tragic lost. Both her parents passed away in a vehicle accident as they were driving to the town, she was attending college which was about an hour or so away from their hometown. Melissa was devastated upon hearing the news, it took her a year to regain her strength to go back to school and complete getting her degree. Feldman, R. S. (2018).vAfter graduating Melissa moved to her own apartment downtown. She enjoyed a very good social life, had a boyfriend for about a year and was even talking about getting married and having children. One day at work she unexpectedly had a panic attack. That day Melissa was having random conversations with coworker’s which was the norm around the office. She felt like her heart was trying to push out of her chest and her vision became blurry. She had trouble breathing and felt her head was pulsating which then went through her entire body. She felt the need to cry and begun pacing around the office. Feldman, R. S. (2018).

Her co-workers asked Melissa if she was ok, they seemed worried as this wasn’t a normal occurrence. At that time Melissa herself didn’t know what was wrong. As the weeks went by, she kept having more of these attacks.

Melissa began to feel everyone in the office was thinking she was either insane or just strange, leading to her feeling shame and embarrassment. Feldman, R. S. (2018).
