The inability of low-income people to get preventative care services is one health equity disparity in my healthcare setting. Low-income people frequently lack the money necessary to cover routine doctor visits or obtain preventative care services like immunizations, cancer screenings, and mental health treatments. This lack of access may result in greater incidence of diseases that can be avoided, which may have a long-term effect on quality of life and health outcomes.

Low-income people across the country are impacted by health disparities regarding access to preventative care services.
