During week 6, I looked into different theories of cultural competence, which made me understand humanoid diversity in the healthcare setting. It became clearer to me the vitality of understanding patients’ diverse cultures, values, beliefs, and ways of handling different aspects of life. From a cultural competence standpoint, there is a sense in which patient-centered care enhances hospital experience and overall outcomes in care delivery.
