SOLUTION

Cultural competence and cultural humility are two different semantics with somewhat synonymous interpretations, albeit they have discrete connotations. Cultural competence refers to how individuals and systems respond respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions, spiritual traditions, immigration status, and other diversity factors in a manner that values the worth of individual’s families, and communities ((US), 2015). It also protects and preserves the dignity of each. Cultural competence is a lifelong process integral and central to daily supervision for social workers who encounter diverse clients and new situations in their practice.
