Artesia, California is where I reside. The entire population, according to the US census bureau, is 16,601, with only 8.7% of the people living in poverty. The average household income is
$67,647. I grew up in Artesia’s neighboring city of Norwalk, California. Despite the fact that they are only a few miles away, the differences in communities and people who reside in these cities are apparent. Norwalk has multi-family homes that can range from middle class to poor, whereas Artesia, CA has more single-family, middle-income homes. As a result, societal variables may have an impact on people’s health in these places. I compared costs at two different grocery stores using products from the list.
