Introduction

Even if professional nurses do not work as teachers in academia, they become educators. Nurses do not just administer treatments or provide medication but also have a role in educating patients about preventing and managing medical conditions (Paterick et al., 2017). Nurses help patients take control of their healthcare by relaying relevant information. Involving patients in their healthcare increase their chances for positive and better outcomes (Wittink and Oosterhaven, 2018). One benefit of patient education is preventing medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, or obesity. This paper will demonstrate the role of a nurse as an educator by providing a scenario where a patient needs education about an already developed and reliable, healthy eating and proper nutrition.

Healthy People 2030 focuses on helping individuals feed on appropriate quantities of key nutrients such as potassium and calcium. Individuals who eat unhealthy foods, i.e., added sugars and saturated fat, increase their risks for diabetes, obesity, heart conditions, and other health complications…please click the purchase button below to access the entire solution at $10
