It has financial issues and no viable solutions. In the 19th century, a 29-year-old Kentucky senator called Henry Clay changed this and became one of the most influential figures of his era. Clay suggested the “American System,” which centered on three important areas of government-sponsored initiatives to stabilize the nation’s economy and was similar to Hamilton’s proposals.
