Be sure to make connections between your ideas and conclusions and the research, concepts, terms, and theory we are discussing this week.

Follow-Up Post Instructions
Respond to at least two peers or one peer and the instructor. If possible, respond to one peer who chose an option different than the one you chose. Further the dialogue by providing more information and clarification.

  • Option 1Sensation and perception are two different processes. Does sensory stimulus shape our perceptions? Do our perceptions misinterpret our sensations? How does that happen?
  • Option 2: What is the purpose of sleep and how is it important to your overall functioning? Complete the Sleep Debt Questionnaire and discuss your results. What can you do to improve your sleep behavior and ensure you get a good night’s rest?

SOLUTION

According to Feldman (2019), sleep is a requirement in order for humans to function. While taking the sleep questionnaire, it came across as being quite simple and overall, scored a 14. This implied that I have a manageable amount of sleep debt but could use some improvements. Personally, if I do not get at least six hours of sleep each night, I can feel the difference in my mood, energy, function, and appetite. There were days when I was only getting three to four hours of sleep because of restlessness and it truly took a tole on me each morning. Nausea and acid reflex were terrible side effects that took place each time that it had happened. Sleep restores and replenishes our brains and bodies (Feldman, 2019). During the days that I was not getting enough sleep, my memory and overall daily functioning was not up to Sometimes it would take me twice the amount of time to get a simple assignment done or just even something as small as making my bed.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (2018) expresses how sleep plays a critical role in a person’s good health and well-being. It can protect our mental and physical health, quality of life, and safety.…..please click the purchase button below to access the entire solution at $5
